Luanda - The number of people infected by Covid-19 in Angola without an identified origin (dubious epidemiological link) rose from nine to 15, with the announcement, this Wednesday, of six more cases of the kind.

During the daily press meeting to update data on Covid-19 in the country, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, reported eight new positive cases in the last 24 hours, two of which were transmitted locally and six with the epidemiological link under study.

Until last Tuesday, the country had recorded nine positive cases of Covid-19 without an identified origin, and, like the previous ones, this Wednesday's are all from Luanda, according to the leader.

“Without the identification of the epidemiological link, the 15 cases are counted as local transmission, currently with 132 infected, while studies continue to determine the vectors of transmission”, argued Franco Mufinda.

At a time when the general picture of this planetary disease points to 197 positive cases registered in Angola, the municipality of Talatona, in Luanda, assumes itself as the epicenter, with 50 infected, one death, 30 recovered and 19 active.

After hosting the country's most contagious health fence (Hoji-Ya-Henda), the municipality of Cazenga, also in Luanda, comes in the immediate position, with 45 cases (1 death, 15 recovered and 29 active).

At the moment, the most epidemic regions are the municipality of Belas (35 cases), with 21 assets, one death and 13 recovered; the Maianga district (25), 16 assets, three deaths and six recovered; and the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi (14), six active, two deaths and six recovered.

According to the Epidemiological Bulletin, the districts of Ingombota (eight cases, with five assets and three recovered), Samba (six cases, with one death) and Sambizanga (also six cases) follow.

Despite having only five positive cases, the urban district of Rangel, also in Luanda, is the one that most accounted for deaths, four.

Cacuaco and Viana are the municipalities of Luanda with fewer cases, two and one, respectively, at a time when Angola has 197 positive cases (193 in Luanda and four in Cuanza Norte), with 10 deaths, 77 recovered and 110 active.
