Luanda - The Angolan health authorities registered, in the last 24 hours, 43 recovered patients and 42 new infections. In this period, Angola had no deaths from the pandemic.

Of those recovered, 39 are from Luanda and four from Cuando Cubango, aged between four months and 60 years, the Secretary of State for Public Health updated today.

Speaking at the usual update session, Franco Mufinda explained that of the 42 newly infected, 36 are from Luanda, three from Bié, two from Benguela and one from Cabinda.

Among the assets, two are in critical condition, eight severe, 78 moderate, an equal number with mild symptoms and 5 844 asymptomatic.

According to the Secretary of State, at this time, health authorities are following 166 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.

With today's numbers, Angola now counts 17,684 cases, 11,266 recovered, 408 deaths and 6,010 assets, out of 314,196 processed samples.

The recovery rate is fixed at 63.7 percent and the daily positivity rate is 5.9 percent.

The official said that in the last 24 hours, at the borders of access to the capital, Luanda, 1,088 people were tested, without any positive case.
