Luanda - The Multisectoral Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19 paid tribute today to those killed by the pandemic in the country, with a minute's silence, before the start of the session to update statistical data at the country level.
Among the several who died from the disease, in these five months of health crisis in the country, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, highlighted, in particular, the physician Severino Abel and the technician from the Civil Protection and Fire Services, José Horácio da Silva.

Like other technicians from different areas, including journalists, both contracted the virus in the course of their professional activities and died, this week, in defense of the greater good - Life, always safeguarded by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

According to Franco Mufinda, in the last 24 hours, Angola registered 39 new cases and 10 recovered. Thus, the country now counts 851 infected, 38 deaths, 236 recovered and 582 active (15 in critical condition, under mechanical ventilation, and three in need) hemodialysis).
