COVID-19: ANGOLA HAS 26 NEW CASES AND 19 RECOVERED

Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Friday, 26 new cases of Covid-19 and the recovery of 19 patients in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the data update session, 20 cases were registered in Luanda, five in Huíla and one in Bié.

Among the new patients, whose ages vary from one to 64 years, 16 are male.

According to Franco Mufinda, eight recovered are residents in Huambo, five in Luanda, three in Bié and an equal number in Moxico.

The national staff registers 20 thousand 478 positive cases, 989 of which are active, 498 deaths and eight thousand 991 recovered.

Of the assets, four are in critical condition, six severe, 53 moderate, 62 mild and 864 asymptomatic.

The laboratories processed 1 thousand 45 samples by RT-PCR, with a daily positivity rate of 2.5 percent.

In the treatment centers, 125 patients are being monitored, 44 are in institutional quarantine and 735 contacts of positive cases are under medical surveillance.
