Luanda - Angola records a total of 16,931 positive cases of Covid-19, which resulted in 394 deaths, 9,807 recovered and 6,730 active.

According to the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, of the active cases three patients are in critical condition, four severe, 75 moderate and 117 mild, against 6,531 asymptomatic.

According to the governor, who made the current situation of the evolution of the pandemic in Angola, the country registered, in the last 24 hours, a total of 129 new cases, one death and 78 recovered.

Of the cases reported in this period, 43 were in Luanda, 23 in Zaire, 17 in Huambo, 14 in Cabinda, 12 in Lunda Norte, four in Bié, three in Benguela, three in Malanje, two in Uíge and two in Moxico, while Lunda Sul and Huíla provinces registered one case each.

The ages of those infected range from three months to 78 years, 74 male and 55 female.

He also reported the recovery of the 78 patients, aged between four and 64 years old, 59 in Luanda, 17 in Benguela and two in Huambo.

As for death, aged 15 years, it was registered in the province of Huíla.

According to the minister, the most affected areas in Luanda, the epicenter of the disease in Angola, are Belas, Cacuaco, Cazenga, Ingombota, Icolo and Bengo, Kilamba Kiaxi, Maianga, Talatona, Samba, Sambizanga and Viana.

In the past 24 hours, health officials processed 3,466 samples, which resulted in 129 new cases, with a daily positivity rate of 3.7 percent.
