Luanda - Angola has maintained the 45 positive cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda said today.

Globally, the country thus registers 45 cases, with two deaths, 13 recoveries and 30 (stable) assets.

According to Franco Mufinda, who spoke of the usual update of data from covid-19, the 18 cases of local transmission also remain.

In the institutional quarantine, he pointed out, the country has 906 people, of which 21 people are in the province of Cuanza Norte, 16 in Huambo and 195 in Luanda, as well as a record of 233 highs in general.

The Secretary of State stated that five thousand 704 samples were processed at laboratory level, with 45 positive, 354 negative and 305 being processed.

From today, Monday (11), until the 25th of May, Angola observes a new period of State of Emergency, of 15 days, to contain the proliferation of the new coronavirus (covid-19).

This is the fourth stage of the exception regime, which started on 27 March, and the last extension was in force from 26 April to 10 May.
