Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Monday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 88 patients recovered from Covid-19, 36 new infections and two deaths.

 

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of the recovered (aged five to 56 years), 65 are from Namibe, 14 from Uíge, three from Cuando Cubango, the same number from Moxico, two from Lunda Norte and one from Benguela.

As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from 10 to 71 years old, 21 of whom are male and 15 are female.

According to the official, there are 19 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda, 11 in Cabinda, five in Cuanza Sul and one in Malanje.

He informed that the deaths are of Angolan citizens, aged 43 and 53 years old, residing in Luanda, one male and one female.

Angola counts 15,139 positive cases, 348 deaths, 7,851 recovered and 6,940 assets.

Of the assets, three are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 11 severe, 171 moderate, 181 with mild symptoms and 6,574 asymptomatic.

Health authorities follow 366 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
