Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, this Wednesday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 84 patients recovered from Covid-19 and 47 new infections.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of the recovered (aged between one and 75 years), 79 are from Luanda, three from Huambo and two from Benguela.

As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from two to 69 years old, being 27 females and 20 males.

According to the official, there are 43 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda and two each for Benguela and Namibe.

Angola has 21,161 positive cases, of which 516 deaths, 19. 761 recovered and 884 active.

Health authorities follow 72 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.

In the last 24 hours, laboratories have processed 693 samples, the cumulative to date recording 404,657 processed samples.
