Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, this Friday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 69 patients recovered from Covid-19, 64 new infections and two deaths.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of the recovered (aged one to 88 years), 47 are from Luanda, 10 from Benguela, six from Moxico, five from Cuanza Sul and one from Huambo.
As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from two to 61 years old, being 42 females and 22 males.
According to the official, there are 48 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda, five in Cabinda, three in Benguela, the same number in Lunda Norte, two in Zaire, one each in Bengo, Cuando Cubango and Huambo.
He informed that the deaths are of Angolan citizens, 59 and 87 years old, living in Luanda.
Angola accounts for 20,759 positive cases, 504 deaths, 19,307 recovered and 948 assets.
Of the assets, one is in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 12 severe, 25 moderate, 24 with mild symptoms and 886 asymptomatic.
Health authorities follow 62 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
Thousand 367 samples were processed in the laboratories in the last 24 hours.
