Luanda - Sixty-two new positive cases from Covid-19, two deaths and 232 retreated are the record of the Angolan health authorities, in the last 24 hours, one day after the pandemic's “anniversary”, since the virus was officially confirmed, and the two from the new year 2021.

The cases involve the provinces of Luanda (31), Huambo (10), Lunda Norte (7), Benguela (6), Cabinda (3), Kwanza Sul (2) and Zaire, Bié and Moxico with one infected each, according to Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda.

When updating the pandemic data in Angola, the official explained that, of the recovered patients, 206 are from Luanda, 8 from Lunda Sul, 7 from Lunda Norte, 6 Kwanza Sul, 4 Bié and 1 from Huambo, totaling ten thousand 859 in total , all over the country.

The deaths, argued Franco Mufinda, occurred in Luanda and Benguela, involving a man, 40, and a woman, 74. As a result, the country now accounts for 405 deaths.

Meanwhile, there are 6,169 active patients, three of whom are critically ill, seven are severe, 71 are moderate, 86 are mild and 6,002 are asymptomatic. To date, Angola has registered 17,433 infections, according to the Epidemiological Bulletin on Covid-19 in Angola.
