Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Thursday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 439 patients recovered from Covid-19, 212 new infections and one death.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of the recovered, 282 are from Luanda, 120 from Cuanza Sul (cases assigned to the National Petroleum Institute) , 27 from Cunene, five from Benguela and an equal number from Lunda Sul, aged between one and 63 years.

As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from five months to 83 years, being 147 males and 65 females.

According to the official, there are 168 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda, 23 in Cubango, nine in Namibe, six in Moxico, four in Cabinda, one in Benguela and the same number in Malanje.

Regarding death, Franco Mufinda informed that he is a 31-year-old Angolan citizen and resident in Cabinda.

Angola counts 14,134 positive cases, 333 deaths, 7062 recovered and 6,739 assets.

Of the assets, seven are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 11 severe, 189 moderate, 237 with mild symptoms and 6,295 asymptomatic.

 

Health authorities follow 444 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
