Luanda - On Monday, health authorities announced the recovery of 196 patients, 101 new cases and 4 deaths.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the data update session, 194 reside in Luanda and 2 in Benguela.
Regarding the new cases, Franco Mufinda said that 85 were diagnosed in Luanda, 4 in Cabinda, 3 in Huambo, 2 in Benguela, 2 in Cuanza Sul, 2 in Namibe, 1 in Huíla, 1 in Malanje and 1 in Zaire.
Among the new patients, whose ages vary from 1 to 72 years, are 60 males and 41 females.
The deaths involve Angolan citizens residing in Luanda.
The overall picture shows 25,710 positive cases, with 583 deaths, 23,288 recovered, 1,839 active. Of the assets, 10 are critical, 14 severe, 80 moderate, 54 mild and 1,681 asymptomatic.
Health authorities monitor 188 patients in treatment centers, while 1,387 contacts are under surveillance.
In the last 24 hours, 1,601 samples were processed, with a daily positivity rate of 6.3 percent.
