Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Thursday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 125 patients recovered from Covid-19, 104 new infections and three deaths.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of those recovered (aged two to 72 years), 103 are from Luanda, 13 from Huíla, five Benguela and one case each in Bengo, Malanje, Uíge and Zaire.

As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from one to 64 years old, being 66 males and 38 females.

According to the official, there are 43 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda, 24 in Huíla, 10 in Cabinda, the same number in Benguela, nine in Namibe, seven in Cuando Cubango and one in Cunene.

He informed that the deaths are of Angolan citizens, aged 54, 59 and 60 years of age, two residents in Luanda and one in Benguela, two of whom are male and one female.

Angola has 13,057 positive cases, 315 deaths, 5,250 recovered and 6,492 assets.

Of the assets, eight are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 14 severe, 185 moderate and 437 with mild symptoms.

Health authorities follow 644 patients admitted to treatment centers across the country.
