Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Monday, the registration, in the last 24 hours, of 103 patients recovered from Covid-19, 42 new infections and three deaths.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, of those recovered, 38 are from Cunene, 35 from Lunda Sul, 28 from Luanda and two from Huambo, aged six to 74 years.

As for the new positive cases, he pointed out that they involve citizens whose ages range from 11 to 67 years old, 32 of whom are male and 10 are female.

According to the official, there are 20 cases diagnosed in the province of Luanda, 12 in Cabinda, five in Huambo, three in Cuando Cubango and one each in Uíge and Malanje.

He informed that the deaths are of three male Angolans, aged between 42 and 74 years old, living in Cuando Cubango, Luanda and Uíge.

Angola has 16,686 positive cases, 390 deaths, 9,695 recovered and 6,601 assets.

Of the assets, five are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, five severe, 71 moderate, 134 with mild symptoms and 6,386 asymptomatic.

Health authorities follow 215 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
