Luanda - Health authorities have diagnosed, in the last 24 hours, 77 new infections, 61 patients and two deaths.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, in the group of newly infected, 52 are male and 25 female, aged between one and 76 years.

He reported that 28 cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 23 in Cabinda, 18 in Benguela, three in Zaire, two in Bié, one case in the provinces of Moxico, Cuanza Sul and Huambo, respectively.

The deaths occurred in the provinces of Luanda and Huambo. The fatalities are male Angolans, aged 45 and 76.

Of those recovered, with ages ranging from seven to 81 years old, 34 are in Huambo, nine in Luanda, the same number in Bié, five in Lunda Norte, three in Cuando Cubango and one in Huíla.

Angola has 19,476 positive cases, with 461 deaths, 17,327 recovered and 1,688 active.

Of the assets, three are in critical condition, five are severe, 85 moderate, 96 with mild symptoms and 1,499 asymptomatic.

The laboratories processed 8.26 samples on the basis of molecular biology, with a daily positivity rate of 9.3 percent.

Two people left the quarantine centers, one in Bié and one in Cuando Cubango.

125 people are in institutional quarantine and 2,485 positive case contacts are under surveillance.

The Psycho-social Support Line served 41 users.

The Integrated Public Security Center (CISP) received 38 calls, related to information requests from Covid-19.
