Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Friday, the recovery of 112 patients, 66 new positive cases and three deaths, in the last 24 hours, in Angola.

According to Franco Mufinda, those recovered, whose ages range from 7 to 76 years old, are from Cuanza Norte (85), Luanda (20), Huambo and Cuanza Sul (3 each) and Zaire (1 citizen).

As for new infections, the Secretary of State for Public Health said that there were 34 patients in Luanda, 10 in Huambo, 7 in Benguela, 6 in Zaire, 4 in Cabinda, 2 each in Uíge and Bié, and 1 in Moxico .

Speaking about the usual update of data on the pandemic, Franco Mufinda said that the newly infected people are between one month and 90 years old, with 43 men and 23 women.

Regarding the three deaths, he said two occurred in Huambo and one in Uíge, in the case of Angolans, aged 47, 63 and 90 years respectively.

In the last 24 hours, laboratories processed 1,809 samples by RTP-CR, with a daily positivity rate of 3.6 percent. To date, in general, 331 have been processed. 175 samples, with a positivity rate of 5.6%.

Angola at this time presents the following epidemiological picture: 18. 679 infections; 16,120 recovered; 2. 131 active people, of whom 190 were hospitalized, (13 in critical condition, eight severe, 83 moderate, 99 mild), as well as thousand and 933 asymptomatic and 428 deaths.
