Luanda - Angola registered, in the last 24 hours, six more positive cases of local transmission of covid-19, informed the minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, Wednesday.

In making the usual update of pandemic data in the country, Sílvia Lutucuta revealed that there were six national citizens who are direct contacts of the “case 26”, residents of Futungo de Belas.

The “case 26” involves an Angolan citizen who returned to the country on the 18th of March, from Portugal, who did not comply with the home quarantine.

So far, he is responsible for the infection of 19 people, most of whom are members of his family.

Due to “case 26”, the health authorities keep the Futungo urban district under a health fence, while waiting for the results of the more than 300 samples collected.

Thus, Angola has 58 positive cases, of which three deaths, 17 recovered and 38 active cases (clinically stable), 31 of which are locally transmitted.
