Luanda - Angolan health authorities have announced the recovery of 99 patients and the registration of 41 new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, 89 recovered people live in the province of Luanda, 5 in Huíla, 3 in Namibe, 1 in Bié and 1 in Malanje.

The new cases, he said, 35 were registered in Luanda, 3 in Benguela, 2 in Uíge and 1 in Cabinda.

Among the new patients, whose ages vary from 1 month to 64 years, 29 are male and 12 female.

The country currently has 20,923 positive cases registered, with 510 deaths, 19,509 recovered and 904 active.

Of the assets, 1 is in critical condition, 11 severe, 24 moderate, 22 mild and 846 asymptomatic.

In the country's treatment centers, 58 patients are hospitalized, while in the institutional quarantine centers there are 47 people.

One thousand and 417 contacts of positive cases are under epidemiological surveillance.

The authorities have 1,507 positive case contacts under epidemiological surveillance, with a daily positivity rate of 2.7 percent.
