Luanda - The Angolan health authorities registered, in the last 24 hours, over 95 new infections, two deaths and 20 recovered patients.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was updating Covid-19 data in the country, one case was diagnosed in Bengo province, one in Huíla, four in Benguela, fifteen in Cunene, seven in Namibe and 67 in Luanda.

Franco Mufinda also announced that the first cases recorded in the province of Namibe are imported in the Luanda / Cuanza Sul / Benguela epidemiological corridor.

Among the new patients, whose ages range from 07 to 69 years old, are 64 males and 31 females.

As for the two deaths, he said that they involve two male citizens residing in Luanda and Benguela, both Angolans of nationality.

The recovered, he said, are patients from the province of Luanda.

Angola has 5,958 positive cases, with 208 deaths, 2,635 recovered and 3,115 active. Among the assets, 10 are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 17 severe, 70 moderate, 360 with mild symptoms and 2,658 asymptomatic.
