Luanda - Ninety new infections and five dead are the statistical balance sheet of the last 24 hours announced this Sunday by the health authorities.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the data collection session, there are 88 cases reported in Luanda and two in the province of Cabinda.

Franco Mufinda said that the list of new patients, whose ages range from three to 99 years old, includes 47 males and 43 females.

Regarding the five deaths, he stressed that there are four Angolan citizens and one Eritrean national, all resident in the province of Luanda, two of whom are male and three are female.

With these data, the province of Luanda has an accumulated of 3,655 positive cases and 144 deaths, Benguela 44 positive and three deaths and Cabinda with 86 positive cases.

The epidemiological picture also shows Bengo with seven positive cases and one death, Bié with five positive cases, Cunene with four cases, Huambo with 35 cases and two deaths, Huíla with four cases, Cuanza Norte with 25 positive cases and four deaths, Cuanza Sul with five cases and one death, Lunda Norte with one case, Lunda Sul with one case, Malanje with one case, Moxico with three cases, Uíge with one case and Zaire with 114 cases.

The provinces of Cuando Cubango and Namibe are the only ones without a record of positive cases.

The country has 3,991 positive cases, with 152 deaths, 1,445 recovered and 2,394 active.

Of the assets, UM is in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 11 severe, 50 moderate, 62 with mild symptoms and 2,282 asymptomatic.

Four hundred and fifty-four patients are being followed up in treatment centers.
