Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, on Thursday, the registration of 77 new infections, 72 recovered patients and three deaths, in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, 39 new cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 11 in Cabinda, seven in Uíge, four in Zaire, the same number in Malanje, three each in Lunda Norte and Huambo, as well as two cases each in Lunda Sul, Bié and Cunene.

The list of new patients, whose ages range from two to 88 years old, is made up of 51 males and 26 females.

He informed that 72 patients were recovered, 37 from Benguela, 14 from Luanda, 10 from Uíge, four from Lunda Norte, three from Moxico and two each from Malanje and Lunda Sul, aged between one and 67 years.

Regarding deaths, Franco Mufinda informed that there are three Angolan citizens, two male and one female, aged between 13 and 88 years, living in Zaire, Uíge and Luanda.

Angola has a record of 16,484 cases, with 382 deaths, 9,266 recovered and 6,836 active.

Of the assets, six are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, four severe, 82 moderate, 131 with mild symptoms and 6,613 asymptomatic.

Health authorities follow 223 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
