Luanda - Seventy-one recovered patients and 45 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours in Angola.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, of the new cases, 35 were diagnosed in Luanda, 4 in Huambo, 3 in Cabinda, 2 in Huíla and 1 in Lunda Norte.

Among the new patients, he said, whose ages range from 1 month to 80 years old, 22 are male and 23 female.

According to Franco Mufinda, among those recovered, 64 live in Luanda, 4 in Huíla and 3 in Benguela.

Angola has a record of 21,026 cases, with 511 deaths, 19,624 recovered and 891 active.

Of the assets, two in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 11 severe, 24 moderate, 28 with mild symptoms and 826 asymptomatic.

National laboratories processed, in the last 24 hours, two thousand 140 samples, with a daily positivity rate of 2.1 percent.

Inpatient centers are treating 65 patients, while 43 people are in institutional quarantine centers.

Health authorities maintain 1,397 positive case contacts under epidemiological surveillance.
