Luanda - The health authorities have registered, in the last 24 hours, the recovery of 56 patients and 26 new cases.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was updating the data, among the recovered 22 live in Zaire, 15 in Lunda Norte, seven in Benguela, four in Bié, three in Luanda, three in Huambo and two in Moxico.

Among the newly infected, 15 are men and 11 women, aged 18 to 31 years. Seventeen were diagnosed in Luanda, five in Huambo, two in Cabinda, one in Huíla and one in Lunda Norte.

The labs processed 1,438 samples on the basis of molecular biology (RT-PCR), a daily positivity rate of 1.8 percent.

Angola has 20,112 positive cases, with 475 deaths, 18,596 recovered and 1,041 active. Of the assets, 9 are in critical condition, 12 severe, 81 moderate, 68 with mild symptoms and 871 asymptomatic.

One hundred and forty-four people are in institutional quarantine, 170 are hospitalized and 1,971 are under epidemiological surveillance.
