Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, this Saturday, the registration of 43 new infections, 36 recovered patients and one death, in the last 24 hours.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, 25 new cases were diagnosed in Luanda, seven in Huambo, five in Zaire, two in Uíge, the same number in Namibe and one each in Lunda Sul and Cuanza Sul.
The list of new patients, whose ages range from three to 69 years old, is comprised of 22 males and 21 females.
Of those recovered, he pointed out, 30 are patients from Luanda, four from Lunda Sul and two from Moxico, aged between nine and 73 years.
Regarding deaths, Franco Mufinda informed that she is a 51-year-old Angolan citizen, resident in Namibe.
Angola has a record of 15,536 cases, with 354 deaths, 8,335 recovered and 6,847 active.
Of the assets, three are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, eight severe, 99 moderate, 157 with mild symptoms and 6,580 asymptomatic.
Health authorities follow 267 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
