Luanda - The Angolan health authorities announced, this Tuesday, the registration of 203 new infections of Covid-19, 59 recovered patients and four deaths, in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual Covid-19 data update session in the country, 119 new cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 50 in Cuanza Norte, 11 in Cuando Cubango, 10 in Huambo , nine in Benguela and four in Bié.

The list of new patients, whose ages range from 11 months to 70 years old, is composed of 136 males and 67 females.

He informed that 59 patients were recovered, 30 from Uíge, 12 from Luanda and 17 from Cunene.

Regarding deaths, Franco Mufinda informed that there are four Angolan citizens, three male and one female, aged between 34 and 72 years old, residing in Luanda, Malanje, Cunene and Huambo.

Angola has a record of 13,818 cases, with 328 deaths, 6,582 recovered and 6,908 active.

Of the assets, nine are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 10 severe, 187 moderate, 393 with mild symptoms and 6,309 asymptomatic.

Health authorities follow 504 patients admitted to treatment centers in the country.
