COVID-19: ANGOLA WITH 168 NEW CASES AND 36 RECOVERED

Luanda - The country recorded 168 new cases, four deaths and 36 recovered patients in the last 24 hours.

The data released indicate that 150 cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 12 in Cuando Cubango, 5 in Cabinda and 1 in Huíla.

Among the new cases, 105 are male and 63 female, with ages ranging from 3 to 70 years.

The deaths were reported in the province of Luanda, involving Angolan citizens.

Among those recovered, 36 reside in Luanda and one in the province of Malanje.

In the last 24 hours, laboratory technicians processed 1,829 samples.

The Covid-19 pandemic in Angola has already reached 22,885 people, with 547 deaths, 21,489 recovered and 849 active. Of the assets, the are in critical condition, 10 severe, 43 moderate, 33 mild and 761 asymptomatic.

49 citizens are in institutional quarantine, while 88 people are admitted to treatment centers.

The authorities maintain 1,012 positive case contacts under epidemiological surveillance.
