Luanda - The national health authorities registered 138 new infections, five deaths and 17 recovered patients in the last 24 hours.

According to the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, this Wednesday, at the press conference to update data from Covid-19, there are 23 cases diagnosed in Benguela, 18 in Huíla, two in Zaire, the same number in Cunene and 93 in Luanda.

According to the spokeswoman for the Interministerial Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19, the new patients, 78 male and 60 female, are aged between one and 73 years.

Regarding the five deaths, Sílvia Lutucuta informed that they involve Angolan citizens, four residents in Luanda and one in Benguela. He informed that 17 people, in the last 24 hours, recovered, of which 11 in Luanda and six in Benguela.

Angola has 5,863 positive cases, with 206 deaths, 2,615 recovered and 3,042 active. Among the assets, 10 are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 17 severe, 68 moderate and 350 have mild symptoms.

Inpatient are 553 cases in the country's treatment centers.
