Luanda - Angola announced, on Monday, the registration of 129 new cases, three recovered patients and two deaths, in the last 24 hours.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, 101 cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 11 in Huíla, 7 in Cuanza Sul, 4 in Benguela, 3 in Cabinda and 3 in Zaire.

Among the new cases, according to Franco Mufinda, 97 are male and 32 female, whose ages vary from 3 to 82 years.

The recovered, he said, reside in Luanda.

Deaths were recorded in Huíla and Cuanza Norte.

The overall picture shows 24,518 cases, with 563 deaths, 22,600 recovered and 1,355 active. Of the assets, 7 are in critical condition, 13 severe, 68 moderate, 48 mild and 1,219 asymptomatic.

In the last 24 hours, 2,636 samples were processed, corresponding to a daily positivity rate of 4.8.

Inpatient centers are 136 patients, while 48 citizens are in institutional quarantine.

The authorities maintain 1,322 contacts under epidemiological surveillance.
