Luanda - Health authorities announced on Friday the recovery of 76 patients and the registration of 33 new cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours.

Among the new patients, whose ages vary from 1 to 77 years, 16 were diagnosed in Luanda, 6 in Cabinda, 6 in Huambo, 3 in Bié, 1 in Huíla, 1 in Zaire, 11 of whom were male and 22 female .

Among those recovered, 24 live in Huambo, 22 in Huíla, 17 in Luanda, 8 in Uíge, 4 in Bié and 1 in Lunda Sul.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who spoke at the usual data update session, during the period in question there were three deaths involving Angolan citizens, one in Luanda and two in Huambo.

The laboratories processed 2,290 samples on the basis of molecular biology (RT-PCR), with a daily positivity rate of 1.4 percent.

Angola has 20,294 positive cases, with 490 deaths, 18,786 recovered and 1,018 active. Of the assets, 8 are in critical condition, 8 severe, 75 moderate, 73 with mild symptoms and 854 asymptomatic.

In the quarantine centers, 164 people are in institutional quarantine, 129 are hospitalized and 1,868 are under epidemiological surveillance.
