Luanda - Two hundred and fifteen new infections, six deaths and thirty-one recovered patients have been registered in the country over the past 24 hours, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, announced on Saturday in Luanda.

According to the official, who was updating Covid-19 data, there are two cases registered in Benguela, the same number in Huambo, 20 in Zaire and 191 in Luanda.

Among the new patients, whose ages range from one to 84 years old, there are 134 males and 81 females.

The deaths, he said, involve citizens residing in Luanda, four of whom are male and two women, aged between 50 and 88 years.

Regarding the recovered, there are 30 from Luanda and one in the province of Benguela.

Angola has 6,246 positive cases, with 218 deaths, 2,716 recovered and 3,312 active.

Among the assets, 14 are in critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 20 severe, 87 moderate, 429 with mild symptoms and 2,762 asymptomatic.

Treatment centers follow 579 patients.
