Luanda - One hundred and 26 positive cases, two deaths and four recovered is the record of Angola, in the last 24 hours, with regard to the evolution of covid-19, which has affected the country since March, with a daily average of 22 infected and one dead.

Of these, there are 48 female citizens and 78 male citizens, four (4) in Benguela, one (1) in Huíla, and an equal number in the provinces of Zaire, Cuanza Norte and Cabinda. The remaining 118 are all from the country's capital (Luanda).

When updating the country's epidemiological data in face of the pandemic, in the usual Point of Situation, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda explained that the positive cases involve citizens aged between 11 and 80 years.

Meanwhile, said the leader, the two deceased are a man and a woman of 62 and 67 years of age respectively, residents of Luanda and Huíla, who ends up registering the first death by covid-19 in the country, among the five patients locations.

With this update, Angola now counts 4,117 positive cases (126 more); 154 deaths (two more); thousand 449 recovered; and two thousand and 514 active, eight of whom are in critical condition, being treated with the help of ventilators. Of the active group, 18 are serious.
